Dr Tan is the Founder Chairman of SpringHill Management Ltd which manages the US$30m biotech VC fund, SpringHill BioVentures Sdn Bhd. He is also the Founder chairman of GeneMedix Plc, a UK-based biogenerics pharmaceutical company with operations in Asia and Europe. The company is listed on the London and Singapore Stock Exchanges. He is the founder director of KS Biomedix Holdings Plc a biotechnology company listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). KSB has a proprietary technology in super-high affinity monoclonal antibodies and is developing antibody-and toxin-based products for oncology. Dr Tan is the Founder Chairman of AsiaPrise Biotech Sdn Bhd which operates the Nilai Cancer Institute, a private specialist cancer centre for treatment and clinical research in Malaysia. He is the former Chairman of TranXenoGen Inc., a Boston-based company listed on AIM (London), which has developed transgenic technology for large-scale manufacture of human proteins in chicken eggs. He is a non-executive director of 3PC Investment Trust Plc, a £45m LSE listed investment fund management company. He is an advisor to Psimei Pharmaceuticals Plc, a UK & US-based company developing Boron Radiotherapy for cancer. He is an advisor to a number of government agencies in Asia on biotechnology. He is the author of over 40 scientific papers and 3 major patents, the inventor of sheep monoclonal antibodies and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. He is also the Chairman of Jubilee Action, the UK-based human rights organization working with street children and social transformational businesses and a director of Saracens Rugby Club.
